Lyle Klyne
I'm designing software at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where I work on tools supporting mission planning, sequencing and spacecraft visualization for Mars 2020 and Europa Clipper.
I spend a lot of my time designing digital tools and interactive experiences, and I also enjoy making art, furniture, lights and sounds.
- Design for an open-source framework for modeling spacecraft with a lot of great people at JPL.
- Design for a science targeting and terrain visualization tools ASTTRO & OnSight — used on daily operations for Perseverance and Opportunity.
- A simplified public version of the Mars terrain visualization tools above with WebXR support: Explore with Perseverance
- An open-source design system to support data-rich and complex patterns common in spacecraft planning: Stellar Design System
